Computer games!

Computer games! Love playing them, when i was a little younger i'd buy a new game and spend hours or better yet the whole day and night playing them trying to get on the the next level, or trying my best to complete the game.

So what is it about computer games that can make them fall under the "being bad" category, well to me this is similar to my blog on "bad cinema". The view that voilent games can influnece us into becoming voilent ourselves. I know theres alot what can be said on this topic, both for and agains't that computer games are good or bad.

Offcorse everybody knows not everybody who plays voilent computer games are going to result to voilence because in reality the majority of people who play voilent computer games dont. However its the ones that do, that make an impact and then people start question how bad computer games really are. I remember many moons ago when my uncle had a banned game for the playstation one it was called Thrill Kill and to be honest it was a pretty disturbing game.

Famous cases that have made into the headlines of when computing playing turns tragic, is the famous case of the banned game Manhunt. Although i have never played the game manhunt, i did abit of research on the game and found out about the plot, which is a murderer becomes the victim of mad mans gruesome film and the only way to say alive is to kill. I also read reviews on the game and the reviews had the following to say about the game http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/action/manhunt/review.html

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold who commited the columbine high school massacre who had obbessions with the computer game Doom. Which is also a voilent shooting game which is based brutal killing. Also in 2004 a teenage boy lured his friend into a park and brutally murdered him, the victims parents blamed the game "Manhunt". These are a few example of what computer game obsession can result in.
